AI Captions for Photos helps you generate clear and natural descriptions for your images. The app analyzes visual elements such as objects, scenes, expressions, and overall mood to create readable captions. It also includes an Image to Text tool that extracts text from images.
This guide explains how to use the application step by step.
1. Launch the Application
Open AI Captions for Photos from your Windows Start menu or desktop shortcut.
When the app opens, you will see two main tools:
AI Image Captions
Image to Text
Choose the feature depending on whether you want to generate captions for an image or extract text from an image.
2. Generate Captions for an Image
Step 1: Upload an Image
Open AI Image Captions.
In the upload section, click Upload an Image.
You can also drag and drop an image into the upload area.
The app supports multiple formats such as JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and AVIF.
Once uploaded, the image preview will appear on the screen.
Step 2: Generate a Caption
Click Generate Caption.
The app will analyze the image automatically.
A caption will appear in the Description section.
The generated caption describes the scene, objects, and visual context found in the image.
Step 3: Regenerate a Caption
If you want a different wording or style:
Click Re-generate.
The app will create a new caption for the same image.
This allows you to explore different descriptions for the same photo.
Step 4: Copy the Caption
After the caption appears:
Select the text in the description box.
Click Copy or manually copy the text.
You can paste the caption into documents, social media posts, or image descriptions.
Step 5: Replace or Remove the Image
If you want to try another photo:
Click Replace to upload a new image.
Click Remove to clear the current image.
Then repeat the caption generation process.
3. Convert Image Content to Text
The Image to Text feature extracts readable text from photos such as screenshots, scanned documents, or printed material.
Step 1: Select Image to Text
Open the Image to Text section from the main screen.
Step 2: Import an Image
You can add an image using several methods:
Click Pick Image File to choose a photo from your computer.
Select Open Folder to browse image folders.
Use Window Capture to capture text directly from a window.
Choose Folder Images to scan multiple images.
Step 3: Choose the Language
Select the language from the Language dropdown list.
This helps the app recognize and extract text more accurately.
Step 4: Extract Text
After selecting the image:
The application analyzes the image.
Detected text appears in the results panel.
You can review the extracted text and make adjustments if needed.
Step 5: Copy or Save the Text
Once the text appears:
Click Copy All to copy the extracted text.
Click Save to store the text on your computer.
You can also enable Wrap Text to organize the text layout for easier reading.
4. Additional Tools
The interface also provides extra options for handling images:
Rotate to adjust image orientation
Add Language to include additional recognition languages
Folder Images for batch image processing
These tools help when working with multiple images or documents.
Tips for Best Results
Use clear images with good lighting.
Avoid blurred or low-resolution photos.
Crop unnecessary background areas before uploading.
